BUILDING SMARTER WITH BETTER TOOLS

QuesTec is committed to adopting new construction technologies and pushing our existing tools further. By combining field experience with advanced layout, scanning, and modeling tools, our teams can coordinate faster, catch issues earlier, and deliver more reliable work in the field.

The goal is simple: make the work more accurate, more efficient, and easier to execute once it reaches the jobsite.

Technology That Improves the Way We Build

Construction technology is not just about using new equipment. It is about giving our teams better information, improving coordination, and reducing the surprises that slow projects down.

From layout to existing conditions documentation, our technology helps connect the office, BIM team, and field crews so everyone is working from clearer, more accurate information.

Robotic Total Stations

QuesTec uses a fleet of 8 Robotic Total Stations to improve jobsite layout speed and accuracy. These tools provide a powerful alternative to traditional tape measures and string lines, helping our teams place work more precisely and move through layout more efficiently.

Laser Scanner

Laser scanning captures a precise 3D record of existing conditions, giving our BIM team the information they need to model with confidence in almost any environment.

This helps reduce uncertainty, improve coordination, and create new opportunities for prefabrication before work begins in the field.

HP SitePrint

The HP SitePrint takes robotic layout a step further by printing dimensionally accurate BIM drawings directly on the floor. That can include pipe centerlines, offsets, hanger locations, and text callouts for pipe size, system, and assembly numbers.

By putting layout information directly where the work happens, HP SitePrint reduces the need to rely on paper drawings and field tablets for layout reference. It helps crews work from clear, visible, jobsite-ready information.

Why It Matters

Better tools lead to better outcomes. With the right technology in place, QuesTec can improve coordination, reduce rework, support prefabrication, and help field teams install with greater confidence.

For our customers and project partners, that means a smoother process, fewer surprises, and mechanical work that is planned with accuracy from the start.
